On September 29, 2024, during a routine observation check at approximately 11 p.m., deputies discovered 43-year-old Bobby Aguilar unresponsive in his cell at the Bexar County Adult Detention Center. Aguilar was pronounced dead shortly thereafter by San Antonio Fire Department personnel. Preliminary indications suggest he suffered a medical episode, though the official cause of death is pending determination by the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office. Aguilar had been incarcerated since March 2024 on multiple charges, including resisting arrest and making terroristic threats.
