On 07/08/2021, 44-year-old Christopher Lawrence Seay of Henrico died from injuries sustained the previous afternoon when his Jeep Grand Cherokee crashed and overturned during a Henrico County Police pursuit near Richmond International Airport. Seay was ejected from the Jeep and hospitalized with life-threatening injuries before his death was announced the following day.

The encounter began shortly before 3:00 p.m. on 07/07/2021 at Eubank and Lewis roads. A Henrico police officer stopped Seay after observing a traffic violation.
