As she attempted to make a left-hand turn onto eastbound Route 3, her vehicle was struck by a Culpeper County Sheriff's Office-issued Chevy Tahoe SUV driven by Lt. Ashleigh Baughan. The officer, who was allegedly driving 75 mph in a 55 mph zone, was not responding to an emergency or pursuing another vehicle, and her emergency lights and sirens were not activated at the time of the crash.
