OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On June 16, 2021, at approximately 5:39 p.m., Virginia State Police were asked to assist the Buckingham County Sheriff's Office in arresting a wanted felon. Troopers located a man matching the description of the suspect, along with a woman inside a Chevrolet Tahoe. When approached, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene, hitting one of the troopers' vehicles. A pursuit ensued, and the driver jumped from the moving vehicle, which then ran off the road and into a ditch. Troopers then confronted Kendall Allen Jamerson, who was armed with a firearm. Police engaged Jamerson, and he was shot and killed.
