On the night of February 6, 2025, an armed robbery occurred at a Mobil Gas Station located at the corner of 267A and Shiloh Road in Gadsden County, Florida. During the incident, a man shot four individuals, resulting in two fatalities and two injuries. The man fled the scene, prompting a multi-agency manhunt. In the early hours of February 7, law enforcement officers, including those from the Florida Highway Patrol and Suwannee County Sheriff's Office, pursued the vehicle into Suwannee County. The chase concluded near US 90 West and Goldkist Boulevard in Live Oak, where the vehicle crashed his vehicle. Upon exiting, he fired at officers, injuring a Suwannee County deputy. Officers returned fire, resulting in the man's death.
