Gurley PD chased a vehicle for traffic violations. Gurley PD escalated a 50-mile chase until the Hollywood and Gurley PD were both in high pursuit of the alleged traffic violation until the fleeing vehicle crashed into the car of Matthew Deandre Norwood, killing him. He had been a third-party motorist. Norwood was a spiritual young man who left a family and church congregation devastated at his senseless death over a dangerous police hunt of a driver guilty only of a traffic code violation.
