On February 8, 2025, just before midnight, Douglas County Sheriff's deputies responded to an active shooter incident at the Main Event Entertainment Center, located at 64 Centennial Boulevard in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. Upon arrival, a deputy encountered 23-year-old Jalin Seabron, who was armed with a gun in the parking lot. After multiple commands to drop the weapon were ignored, the deputy discharged their firearm, fatally shooting Seabron. Life-saving efforts were made, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. Inside the entertainment center, a woman had been shot in the chest and was transported to a local hospital, where she is expected to survive. The suspect, identified as 23-year-old Nevaeha Crowley-Sanders, was arrested and charged with criminal attempt first-degree murder and first-degree assault. The 23rd Judicial District Critical Incident Team is investigating the deputy-involved shooting.
