Ta'Neasha Chappell fell ill while incarcerated at the Jackson County Jail in Indiana. When she was transported to the hospital, she was speaking and had a strong pulse. Paramedics noted yellow discoloration on her skin and eyes, along with a large bump on her forehead. During transport, she remained in handcuffs and ankle restraints, and no emergency lights or sirens were used. Chappell later died at the hospital.
