On 07/01/2021, 25-year-old Sor No Bit was killed along with two other men when the vehicle he was driving crashed during a Fort Wayne Police Department pursuit on East Paulding Road near South Lafayette Street in Fort Wayne.

The encounter began when Fort Wayne police attempted a traffic stop. The vehicle initially stopped, but the driver subsequently drove away and police pursued.

The pursuit continued onto East Paulding Road. During the chase, the driver lost control of the vehicle near Lafayette Street. The vehicle left the roadway and struck a utility/light pole, a gas line and a tree. WANE personnel at the scene reported all three people in the vehicle were killed.

The collision damaged a natural-gas line, creating an additional emergency at the crash scene. Residents in the immediate area were evacuated while emergency personnel addressed the gas leak.

The Allen County Coroner's Office subsequently identified all three people killed as adult men. Fatal Encounters independently records Sor No Bit, age 25, as one of the three people killed and links his record directly to the WANE report of this pursuit.
