OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On January 26, 2025, at approximately 3:40 a.m., Arvada Police officers located a stolen vehicle in an alley west of Kipling Parkway, between W. 58th Place and W. 59th Avenue. The suspect, identified as 42-year-old Phou Thone Onemanivong, entered the vehicle but refused officers' commands to exit. Onemanivong allegedly fired multiple rounds at the officers. They opened fire, killing him. The Jefferson County Critical Incident Response Team is conducting an investigation into the shooting.
