On 02/26/2024, during his jury trial at the Community Justice Campus in Indianapolis, Lamon Moore, 36, fled the courthouse while awaiting a verdict. Authorities located his vehicle at an apartment complex near 30th Street and Baltimore Avenue. The Marion County Sheriff's Office SWAT team engaged in an hours-long standoff, attempting to negotiate a peaceful surrender. Upon entering the apartment, deputies found Moore dead from a gunshot wound.
