OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :

On 02/27/2025 at approximately 2:50 p.m., Maricopa Police responded to a call at the Circle K near Bowlin Road and John Wayne Parkway. Officers encountered 38-year-old Keith Tyler Prock in the parking lot. According to Maricopa Police, Prock fired a handgun and struck Officer Sebastian Sanchez multiple times. Sanchez fell to the ground during the exchange. A second officer fired service rounds at Prock, striking him multiple times. During the confrontation, a police vehicle moved through the lot and ran over Prock. Emergency medical personnel responded. Prock was pronounced dead at the location. Officer Sanchez was transported to a hospital in stable condition.
The Pinal County Regional SWAT and the Arizona Department of Public Safety assisted in the investigation. Authorities reported that body-worn camera footage exists and will be reviewed as part of the investigation.
