OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 02/28/2025, Jerome Police Department officers responded to the 500 block of East Main Street for a reported domestic disturbance involving a man inside a residence. Officers contacted Cesar “C.J.” Ramirez, 29. Police said Ramirez had a firearm during the encounter. Officers fired their weapons and struck Ramirez. Officers recovered a handgun at the residence. Paramedics responded and Ramirez was pronounced dead. The Idaho State Police are conducting the investigation into the shooting by officers. No officer names have been publicly released.
