On 05/08/2022, around midnight, a Collier County Sheriff's deputy was driving north on Santa Barbara Boulevard near Hunter Boulevard in Naples, Florida. The deputy's vehicle struck 19-year-old Jacob Moreno, who was on foot. Moreno was pronounced dead at the scene. The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
