OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
Around 12:30 a.m., California Highway Patrol officers attempted to stop a suspected stolen Infiniti traveling over 100 miles per hour. The driver did not stop. Police escalated a chase until the vehicle exited Highway 4 and ran a red light at East Leland Road and Gladstone Drive, crashing into another vehicle. A female passenger in the other car was killed, and her fiancé was critically injured. The driver of the fleeing vehicle died at the scene.
