On March 30, 2025, a 43-year-old male was arrested by Battle Creek Police on a charge of indecent exposure and booked into Calhoun County Jail. He was placed in an observation holding area and monitored. Around 5:30 a.m., staff found him unresponsive and experiencing a medical emergency. He was pronounced dead at 5:52 a.m. The Michigan State Police are investigating the death.
