OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
At approximately 2:30 a.m. on April 5, 2025, Fort Wayne Police attempted a traffic stop near West Jefferson Boulevard and Catalpa Street. The vehicle did not stop. Police escalated to a chase. Shortly after, the vehicle crashed and caught fire. One male occupant was pronounced dead at the scene. A second occupant survived and was transported to the hospital. The Fort Wayne Police Department’s Fatal Accident Crash Team is investigating.
