Shaun Boice, 37, was found unresponsive in his cell during breakfast and medication distribution on July 28, 2024, at Midland County Jail. He had been in custody since July 21, 2024, on a misdemeanor second-offense domestic violence charge. He was pronounced dead. An autopsy concluded that Boice died of natural causes. Family reported he had recently lost his twin brother and mother in the months prior to his death.
