On April 6, 2025, at approximately 6:03 p.m., a deputy at Virginia Beach Correctional Center found 38-year-old Michael a.k.a. Norah Horwitz unresponsive during a routine check. Horwitz had been detained since June 3, 2023, facing charges including second-degree murder in the death of her father, prominent dentist Dr. Abbey Horwitz. Despite medical intervention, Horwitz was pronounced dead at 6:42 p.m. An investigation is ongoing by the Virginia Beach Police Department and Sheriff's Office.
