OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On April 4, 2025, at approximately 7:30 p.m., SEPTA police arrested 44-year-old Joshua Mister at Somerset Station in Kensington for fare evasion. A bench warrant was found, and he was taken to the Episcopal Campus of Temple University Hospital for evaluation. He was later transported to the 25th District station on Whitaker Avenue. On April 6, around 6:00 a.m., officers found him unresponsive in a holding cell. He was pronounced dead at 6:16 a.m. The cause of death has not been disclosed, and the case is under investigation.
