Dwayne Eduh, 24, was involved in a police standoff on Interstate 20 near Old Ninety Six Indian Trail in Aiken County. He was wanted in connection with a double homicide in Newton County, Georgia during a Walmart shooting. Deputies attempted to take him into custody on April 13, 2025, and he shot himself during the standoff. He was pronounced dead at 4:12 p.m. at Wellstar MCG Health Medical Center.
