On April 12, 2025, at approximately 2:30 p.m., a 37-year-old male inmate was found unresponsive in his cell at the LaGrange County Jail. First responders administered life-saving measures, but the inmate was pronounced dead at the scene. The Steuben County Sheriff's Office is conducting an investigation into the death.
