Andre Martin, 47, was shot and killed by deputies from the Medina County Sheriff's Office assigned to a Homeland Security Investigations and Ohio Organized Crime Investigations Commission task force. The shooting occurred in a parking lot on West 117th Street in Cleveland during a narcotics investigation. Police stated that Martin pulled out a knife, prompting deputies to open fire. His mother alleges he was shot 15 times and left in the parking lot for hours. She disputes that he had a weapon and said the family only learned of the shooting through social media. The two deputies were placed on paid leave. Body camera footage is pending release.
