OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On April 24, 2025, officers arrived at Devicco Moss's home in Thomson to execute a search warrant related to a homicide investigation. Moss fled in a blue Chevrolet Silverado. Police escalated a high-speed chase, during which a Georgia Department of Public Safety officer’s vehicle overturned, injuring the officer. Police continued the chase until Moss crashed into a tractor-trailer at the intersection of Ridge Road and Washington Highway, resulting in a fiery crash that killed Moss. The tractor-trailer driver was unharmed.
