OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
A woman from Mexico died after being ejected during a crash following a Border Patrol vehicle pursuit near Arivaca, Arizona. Border Patrol agents attempted to stop a gold SUV suspected of human smuggling. The driver refused to stop, and agents escalated a pursuit. The SUV crashed at the intersection of Wedgeford Road and Ruby Road, ejecting multiple occupants. The woman was found unresponsive, and although agents attempted CPR, she was pronounced dead at the scene. Six others were hospitalized. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department is investigating.
