OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On March 28, 2025, at approximately 1:30 a.m., LAPD officers attempted to stop a burgundy SUV suspected of DUI. The vehicle fled at high speed. Police allegedly called off the chase as SUV ran a red light at the intersection of Century Boulevard and Sepulveda Boulevard, colliding with a compact sedan. The SUV then struck a pole, resulting in the death of 15-year-old Glendon Robateau, who was inside the SUV. Two other occupants, aged 19 and 22, fled the scene but were apprehended and treated for minor injuries. The driver of the sedan sustained minor injuries. The LAPD's South Traffic Division is investigating the incident.
