OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On May 10, 2025, Shreveport police responded to a reported domestic disturbance at a home in the 8800 block of Yancey Place. Officers encountered 44-year-old Ricardo Ware, who had allegedly shot and killed 35-year-old Randall L. Jack, his brother-in-law, during a family dispute. When Ware exited the residence with a firearm, officers opened fire and killed him. The Louisiana State Police were assigned to investigate the officer-involved shooting.
