OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
Police responded to the 100 block of North 38th Street around 1 p.m. and encountered a man holding what appeared to be a rifle. Officers gave multiple commands for the man to drop the weapon, but he advanced toward them. After deploying less-than-lethal rounds without effect, officers opened fire and killed him. A note was later found inside the home. Investigators say the man may have had ongoing health issues.
