OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
Deputies responded around 10:44 a.m. to a call about a possible shooting victim who was reportedly suicidal. On arrival at 18 1/2 Mile Road in Marshall, they encountered a 41-year-old man holding what appeared to be a rifle. Police say the man pointed the weapon at a deputy, and officers opened fire, killing him. The Michigan State Police are conducting the investigation.
