OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :

At approximately 1:30 a.m. on 06/06/2025, Dallas police responded to an armed carjacking involving a stolen Ford Mustang in northwest Dallas. Officers located the vehicle at a gas station and attempted a felony stop. The driver fled, now being chased at high speed. Surveillance showed the Mustang being chased the wrong way on Northwest Highway, ending when the Mustang collided head-on with a marked Dallas Police SUV near Dallas Love Field Airport. Two Dallas officers were injured in the crash, one seriously, one not life-threatening, as were the three occupants of the stolen car. One of those occupants, 17‑year‑old passenger Miguel Sosa, died at the crash site or shortly after, while the other two juveniles were critically injured and taken to hospital.
