On the evening of 06/07/2025, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a reported robbery on Meadow View Circle in Lancaster. About 15 minutes later, officers encountered Eric Berrios, identified by his fiancé, as they tried to restrain him. According to statements, deputies claimed he produced a firearm during the arrest attempt. CCTV footage reviewed shows deputies using a Taser and attempting to handcuff him before he was shot by at least one deputy. A deputy was struck in the lower torso during the encounter and was hospitalized in stable condition. Eric Berrios was pronounced dead at the site of the confrontation. Berrios’s fiancé, identified as Alayna Senabre, told reporters, “He never got up to shoot anybody. He didn’t even get the chance to, he was handcuffed.” She shared they were due to be married this week and described him as a loving partner who cared deeply for her.
