OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
San Antonio property crimes plainclothes detectives had been tracking a stolen car all day long per their admission. Detectives followed the vehicle to the Home Depot on I-10 and Woodstone. It is not known whether the man knew that the man in street clothing who shot him was a plainclothes detective. John Helle, one of the officers involved in the arrest accidentally shot himself in the leg while running.
