OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 06/14/2025 at approximately 12:49 p.m., Osceola County deputies responded to a mental health crisis call for an 18-year-old reported to have put a gun to his own head. Deputies found him naked and armed in a wooded area near Lakepine Street and Lodgepole Boulevard off U.S. 192 in St. Cloud. According to law enforcement, he allegedly moved toward the deputies despite multiple orders to drop the firearm. Both deputies opened fire, striking and killing him at the scene. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the State Attorney’s Office are investigating. The deputies involved have been placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
