OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 06/14/2025 at approximately 2:30 a.m., Beaumont Police responded to a disturbance at Regency Place Apartments (5550 Folsom Drive). After evacuating two women and three children, Beaumont Police SWAT deployed aggressive military-style tactics using armored vehicles to block exits, fired flash-bang grenades to create disorientation, positioned camouflage-clad rifle carriers, and utilized drones for live aerial surveillance. SWAT dominated the scene with a show of force for over an hour, and a shelter-in-place was issued for nearby residents. Eventually SWAT officers forced entry; inside, they found the man dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
