OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 06/14/2025, Aurora Police Department officers responded to a domestic disturbance between a husband and wife at a residence on the 15800 block of East Arkansas Drive. Officers contacted the man, who then moved to the garage area. While police spoke with him there, he allegedly retrieved a handgun from a toolbox and pointed it at the officers. One officer fired, striking the man. He was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died.
