OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :

Ryan Louis Mosqueda, 27, armed with an assault rifle, tactical vest, and additional rifles and ammunition, launched an early-morning attack on the Rio Grande Valley Border Patrol annex as agents arrived for work, allegedly firing "many many rounds" at the entrance of the building. Multiple Border Patrol agents and McAllen police officers returned fire, killing Mosqueda at the scene. Two officers and a Border Patrol agent were allegedly injured. One McAllen officer sustained a knee injury, possibly from a bullet or shrapnel. Mosqueda was reportedly missing from Weslaco and driving a vehicle with Michigan plates.
