OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 07/06/2025 at approximately 3:20 p.m., the Garland Police Department escalated a response after receiving a report of a domestic disturbance involving a weapon at an apartment on Naaman Forest Boulevard. When officers arrived, the man barricaded himself inside and refused commands. After a prolonged standoff, he fatally shot himself. Officers did not fire their weapons. The incident remains under investigation.
