OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
Blandon Township PD in Ohio arrived at a shoplifting call as Ta’Kiya Young, 21, was leaving. Police had been told that she had shoplifted a bottle of liquor. Police boxed her car in as she tried to leave the parking lot. When she tried to drive past the police barricade, she was shot and killed by numerous shots through the windshield by Officer Connor Grubb. She was unarmed. She had been six months pregnant and her baby girl died along with her. On 08/12/2024, a Grand Jury indicted Officer Grubb on 4 counts of murder.
