Joanna Rebecca Rogers, 43, was killed by Lewisville police after a high-speed pursuit that ended in a parking lot on the I-35E service road. Police attempted a traffic stop related to a felony warrant. Rogers allegedly fled and crashed into a patrol vehicle before exiting with a handgun. Officers say she failed to comply with commands to drop the weapon, and they opened fire, killing her. She died shortly after 1 a.m. at the hospital.
