Rosalio Aguilera was one of more than 30 passengers aboard a private Transportes Guerra bus traveling southbound on Interstate 35 near Cassin Road in San Antonio on July 17, 2025. The bus became involved in a catastrophic multi-vehicle crash triggered by a high-speed police pursuit of a stolen white Chevrolet Camaro.
During the pursuit, the Camaro struck the rear trailer of the bus with significant force, causing the bus to veer uncontrollably into the guardrail and subsequently collide broadside with a semi-truck. This impact caused the bus to overturn on the freeway. Many passengers were trapped inside the overturned vehicle, while others were ejected during the crash. Emergency responders faced difficult rescue conditions due to the bus's position and severity of injuries among passengers.
