Jacksonville Sheriff's Office officers responded to a domestic disturbance call involving Amir Xavier Bradsher, who was reportedly attacking a pregnant woman and a child inside a residence on Brahma Bull Circle West. Upon arrival, officers engaged in approximately 30 minutes of de-escalation efforts, attempting to calm the situation and persuade Bradsher to comply.
When Bradsher refused commands and moved aggressively toward officers, officers deployed a Taser without effect. Two officers then discharged their firearms, striking Bradsher. He was immediately transported to a local hospital but was pronounced dead shortly afterward.
