OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
Claremont police responded around 6:30 a.m. to reports of a man with a knife near Monticello Road and Alamosa Avenue. Officers encountered Likune Sisay, 46, who allegedly charged at them with a knife. Officers opened fire and shot him. Sisay was transported to a hospital where he died. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is investigating the shooting.
