OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
Police responded to reports of a fight involving up to 100 people near the 2900 block of Parkway Drive. While on scene, officers claimed they observed 17-year-old Terrence Hastings Jr. shoot at others. Officers pursued him on foot. According to police, Hastings did not drop his weapon and pointed it again toward the crowd. Officers opened fire, killing him. An internal review later cleared the officer involved.
