Deputies responded to reports of gunfire at a home on South Palmer Avenue. A juvenile escaped from the home and provided information to deputies. Citrus County SWAT and Crisis Negotiation teams, with assistance from Marion County deputies, initiated a standoff with an armed man inside. After several hours, the man surrendered. Officers entered the home and found a deceased woman. The investigation is ongoing.
