OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :

On 08/12/2025, a man wanted for homicide from Palm Beach County was pursued by multiple agencies after allegedly breaking into an apartment near Glenwood Drive and Sunny Lane Avenue in West Palm Beach, shooting and killing a woman, and fleeing in a black Honda CR-V. A BOLO was issued, and law enforcement located and pursued the man northbound on Interstate 95 into St. Lucie County. Officers conducted a PIT maneuver to stop the vehicle, leading to a two-hour armed standoff. Non-lethal impact rounds were used, but when the man rearmed and advanced, officers opened fire and killed him at the scene. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is conducting an independent investigation.
