OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On August 22, 2025, Nevada County deputies responded to a domestic disturbance on Glen Meadow Drive in Grass Valley. A man shot his mother, who later died from her injuries at a hospital. The man fled on a motorcycle, and deputies escalated a chase. Near Squirrel Creek Road and Adam Avenue, he died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The Nevada County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
