OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 08/24/2025 just before midnight, San Antonio Police responded to a disturbance call at the Knights Inn on the 4000 block of East Houston Street. Officers found a 35-year-old man cutting himself inside a hotel room. When they made contact, he moved toward officers while holding a sharp object. Police fired and killed him. Three officers, each with two years of service, were placed on administrative duty. The SAPD Shooting Team and Internal Affairs are investigating, and the case will be reviewed by the Bexar County District Attorney.
