On 08/27/2025, Dallas police responded to a home in the 13800 block of Far Hills Lane in North Dallas regarding a man with a knife. A woman inside the home was escorted out safely. The man refused to exit and threatened officers. SWAT units were deployed, and after hours of negotiations and less-lethal attempts, the man charged at officers with a knife. Police opened fire and killed him.
