Ryan Ludeman, 23, was stopped by Riverton police after a minor car accident while leaving a Fourth of July celebration. He refused a field sobriety test. Police reported he had a knife, but witnesses state he dropped it, raised his hands, and was kneeling when he was shot in the back of the head. His parents allege excessive force and evidence manipulation, while prosecutors previously ruled the shooting lawful. The family has filed a federal lawsuit seeking at least $30 million in damages.
