OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :

On 02/14/2025, at approximately 2:19 a.m., a 42-year-old male driving a 2025 Hyundai Elantra was traveling westbound on Park Avenue with no headlights or taillights. Titusville Police had attempted to locate his vehicle and lost visual contact about a mile prior to the intersection of Park Avenue and SR-405. The vehicle collided with a closed gate at the Brevard County dump/hazardous materials site, went off the roadway, became airborne, and struck a ditch. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. A stolen firearm was recovered inside the vehicle.
